PCG announces its first ISO9001 certification under QS Scheme

Less than four months after the official launch of its groundbreaking quality scheme powered by EQMS software, the Professional Contractors Group (PCG) has named Transsol Ltd as the first member business to receive IS09001:2000 certification under the scheme.

The company, which specialises in engineering, safety and risk management in the railway environment, passed its external ISO9001 audit at the end of February. Accepting the certificate from BVQI, managing director Stuart Mealing said, "I am delighted and believe that this will mark a major change to Transsol´s fortunes; it will now be indistinguishable from the larger consultancies, with whom it competes, in the eyes of end clients. The scheme costs significantly less than others I had investigated, but is far more comprehensive."

PCG chairman Dr Simon Juden said, "Here is a freelance business now able to bid for work it was previously unable to bid for, thanks to PCG (QS). Transsol´s achievement represents a very exciting milestone for PCG’s initiative."

EQMS provides Stuart with secure online access to all his policies, processes and corporate documentation.  Stuart can provide shared access to appropriate documentation with customers, business partners as well as external auditors, thereby cutting communication and audit charges.
